What I want New Zealand to look like when I'm 25?

What I want New Zealand to look like when I'm 25?

When I'm 25 I would like New Zealand to look more clean aka pollution and rubbish. I want to own a mansion in Waitangi and heaps of money. I want to have a walk in wardrobe that I don't use for clothes but for shoes, and lots of them. I want to have a collection of high end and expensive designer/branded shoes. I want to become a sneakerhead. My collection would reach a price of at least 5 million dollars worth. I would buy my mother her own house because she is my mum and the same with my brother. I would like to visit every country in the world because it would be a good experience and it would be fun.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week 2020

On Friday last week 10R took a hikoi down to Kawakawa to pick up rubbish. We went down at 10 and came back to school at 11:10. It was amazing to do this again because of the amount of rubbish littered throughout Kawakawa. Everywhere you looked there was basically rubbish. So we did our job as kaitiakitanga of the community and picked up as much rubbish as we could.

Rubbish is a big threat to the ecosystem in New Zealand and the world as it pollutes the earth in its oceans, rivers, town and other environments. Us, as the makers of this rubbish and pollution should be the ones to pick up this trash we have littered. We need to keep this country and world in pristine shape for future generations.

Electricity

Today in metal tech me learned about Electricity, We learned what it is, how it works and how many volts things have. We learned about the different ways energy is made. These two ways are chemical and magnetical. We used maths and science in our deduction of electricity. We also learnt that cars have 12.7 volts, AA batteries have 1.5 volts and sockets in the wall have 220 - 240 volts.

My understanding of Human Rights and Social Justice

1. What insights did I have into 'Human Rights' and 'Social Justice' as I learned about how others are treated in other countries?

People or civilians in other countries that do not have enough resources to support their country or continent are unable to uphold rights because it would be unfair. In some cases people who are richer in these poor countries have more rights than poor people who live in the streets.

2. What questions about Human Rights and Social Justice do I need answering?

Why do richer and higher standing people have more rights than people who live in the streets. Is it because they are greedy and want more power. I think they don’t want to share their power and money because they are scared of what the people can do.

Science Reflection

This week and last week we have been looking into how to perform an experiment with the needed steps. First we have to recognise what we wanted to learn about. We then predict what the outcome would be when we finish. After that we create a way we are going to test our problem or experiment. Then we perform the experiment. When we have performed the experiment we analyse the data and come to an outcome. Last we write a conclusion that summarise what we did and how. We are focusing on this for next years science fair.
